This year, MASD Awareness Day was held on 16th March. It is an opportunity to #thinkMASD and develop new strategies for recognising, preventing and treating the condition.
Between 1600,000 and 200,000 people are leaving with stoma in the UK. And around 21, 000 people undergo stoma formation surgery every year. That's a lot of people living life as an ostomate.
